Figuring out what size crate your dog will need can be completed in three easy steps. Grab a measuring tape, something to write with, and some treats for your dog before you begin.

LENGTH & DEPTH

Start by measuring your dog’s length from the tip of their nose to the base of their tail. This measurement will be for the length and depth of your new furniture.

HEIGHT

Ask your dog to sit upright, and then measure from the top of their head to the ground. This measurement will be for the height of your crate.

How to Calculate

Use your first measurement as the minimum depth, giving your dog room to turn comfortably.

For length and height, add around 15 cm (6 inches.) to the size of the crate.

If you have the space, going a little larger will give your dog even more room to stretch out and relax.
